« This is a great place to stay when visiting the Cinque Terre; the rooms look to be recently remodeled, the bathroom is very spacious and chic. Our room #1 had a balcony to dry clothes and sit outside for people watching late in the day. The AC was key also! Getting into and out of the unit was simple. Giorgio, our host, met us at the train station and showed us some restaurants. He gave excellent dining recommendations for real foodies and also helped with travel logistics (trains). We stayed 3 nights and I cannot believe how easy it was traveling in a place I’ve never been to before. He is a friendly, knowledgable host and you can tell he really enjoys sharing Manarola with visitors. »
« Excellent choice. So why haven’t you booked yet? Giorgio’s Ca del Monica is a wonderful start to your stay in Manarola. Get the inside scoop straight – from what to explore and experience the best of the area, he can point you in the right direction so you can maximize your stay. The location and room: Manarola is a great base, we’ve stayed there (3rd time) rather than other towns and easy to transit to and from. It’s quick to get to from the train station to Ca del Monica and there is a flight of stairs (15-25 appox. steps depending on which way you go). Located on the main street you can enjoy the sights and sounds of local happenings and people-watch from the balcony. We did (it becomes quiet after 10:30pm), our double bed room was located on the left towards the water (1min. Walk). The modernly decorated room had the usual necessities and the AC and refridgerator worked well and the room felt a good size to move around in. The rain shower was heaven after the hike from Manarola to Vernazza. Along with the hike, his restaurant suggestion was spot on for our tastes. The internet connection was good for our purposes but we weren’t doing anything that required a lot of bandwidth. We had no problems there and only good memories. Communcation was easy and the responsive. Giorgio was also kind enough to assist us with a problem that without his local knowledge would have taken more time. Staying here is a solid choice. »
